Especialmente nos \u00faltimos 17 s\u00e9culos, o cristianismo e o islamismo, por meio da expans\u00e3o e da conquista, muitas vezes de forma violenta, moldaram in\u00fameras sociedades em todo o mundo.<br \/><br \/><\/p><p>A primeira cadeira de hist\u00f3ria das religi\u00f5es foi criada na Universidade de Leiden, na Holanda, em 1876.<br \/>As universidades latino-americanas, ao contr\u00e1rio das principais universidades do mundo, n\u00e3o conseguiram integrar os estudos cr\u00edticos da religi\u00e3o nas suas agendas de ensino e pesquisa, tanto do ponto de vista de um amplo debate acad\u00eamico, como da forma\u00e7\u00e3o universit\u00e1ria de alto n\u00edvel e da investiga\u00e7\u00e3o.<br \/><br \/><\/p><p>O Programa Latino-Americano de P\u00f3s-Gradua\u00e7\u00e3o em Hist\u00f3ria das Religi\u00f5es (PPHR) est\u00e1 focado nas centen\u00e1rias rela\u00e7\u00f5es de poder, domina\u00e7\u00e3o e controle na Am\u00e9rica Latina, na perspectiva da Economia Pol\u00edtica das forma\u00e7\u00f5es sociais e do Estado, e das Ci\u00eancias Sociais e a Filosofia.<br \/><br \/><\/p><p>O objeto de estudo do PPHR s\u00e3o as inter-rela\u00e7\u00f5es entre
