Postgraduate Programme in History of Religions (PPHR)

Train specialists regarding the research and learning of the History of Religions, who can influence the holistic, transdisciplinary and critical conceptualization, and the analysis and development of socio-cultural and political processes in Latin America
Generate a critical academic space and contribute and participate in the holistic reflection, the construction of knowledge, and the study, analysis and debate on the historical-social, political, economic, cultural and religious processes in Latin America
Develop critical, transcendent and transdisciplinary research on the interrelationships between science, culture, society, economy, politics, the state and religion
Contribute to developing a life trajectory towards an integral human being; expand social and political consciousness; promote social transformation, ecological and equitable sustainable development, and anti-colonial and anti-patriarchal thinking; foster awareness of identity, the human condition and pacifism; awaken a sense of responsibility towards society
Promote Holistic Learning, complex perspectives and academic transdisciplinarity[encourage academic dialogue and transdisciplinary work aimed at the integration of various fields of knowledge and theoretical and methodological approaches; stimulate Self-learning and Lifelong Learning]
Stimulate reflection on the identities and categories of religion, religiosity and culture constructed in Latin American societies from a transdisciplinary and secular perspective
Pursue the highest international standards of academic excellence and quality
Consolidate the Latin American Postgraduate Program in History of Religions as a reference for postgraduate education and research in Latin America
